LEGAL AND ETHICAL ISSUES WITH MY POSTER

LEGAL

Issue

Solved or justified?
The protagonist may feel uncomfortable having their picture taken and used for the film poster.

Permission has been taken from the protagonist before hand to allow me to use their image for the poster.
There is a risk of copyright with making this poster. (Producers may think I have stolen their content to make my poster and taken credit for this)

The idea I have come up with for this poster is originally my idea and I will use a royalty free font for the text on the poster.

Also, I won't use any elements from other posters (such as, logos), but if a poster is similar to the idea I want to create, I will take inspiration from this and not copy it.
Including a picture of a forest as the background image may promote the idea that the protagonist has a bad background in real life (e.g. always goes out when its dark and late at night)

I have already told the protagonist the idea of the story before hand and they have been impressed with it/are happy to be a part of it.

The film poster will not mention any phrases such as 'based on a true story', so the audience will be informed straight away that the story is made from scratch

ETHICAL

Issue

Solved or justified?
Using dark tones for the poster (Black and White) may be inappropriate for young viewers.

Have an age restriction noted so parents are aware of whether their child is suitable to watch the film or not.
Having a female character as the only character on the poster could promote isolating the male gender/having no balance between genders.

My film idea consists of this one character and the entire storyline is only about this one character, so including other characters would make things confusing in terms of the storyline behind the film.
Only having a white character on the poster could promote isolating certain people due to their skin tone

My film idea consists of this one character and the entire storyline is only about this one character, so including other characters would make things confusing in terms of the storyline behind the film.

Her skin tone has no relation with the storyline and what has happened to her (The protagonist's appearance is meaningless with this story)
