Task 14

INSPIRATION FOR MY POSTER

Having the theme of a forest has inspired me because my poster itself is based around the subject using the forest as an escape from her problems and the real world. Also, using the forest can instantly reflect the genre of horror which is what I want to achieve.

INSPIRATION FOR MY POSTER

Having one subject in the poster has inspired me, because it instantly tells me as a viewer that the focus of the film will be based around this character (This is what I want to demonstrate through my poster)

INSPIRATION FOR MY POSTER

Having the theme of black and red in this poster has inspired me, because this instantly tells me as a viewer that the genre of the film is going to be horror (I want to be able to demonstrate this so the audience are aware of the genre so they can decide whether to invest their money into the film or not)

Task 15 - PRODUCTION PROCESS

For this step, I edited the image of the protagonist and made it black and white. I did this because horror films usually stick to having dark colours/dark tones on the image as a whole.

For this image, I imported an image of a forest which I took and layered this onto the subjects hand. I decreased the opacity of this and added the effect 'soft light' to make it blend in with the subjects skin. Also, I used the eraser tool to remove any unwanted background (I did this for both hands).

For this image, I did the same as the step before but did this for the other hand.

For this image, I added the title onto the poster. I used the font 'scare arms' for this, because personally I instantly felt that this font fitted with my poster straight away because it reflects the genre of horror and the way the font is fading can represent her fading away from the real world.

For this last step, I added a release date using the font 'broken glass'. I used this font in particular because it is quite subtle to look at and can represent that she is broken from society.

MY OWN RESPONSE TO POSTER

Overall, I like the outcome of the poster, however for the real thing, I will add credits to the poster and make the subjects face and neck have the forest background as well, to demonstrate how important the forest is to her.
